Why GCs & Developers Choose CCS
Scalable Crews & Equipment
We own our heavy equipment and scale crews to your project — a single pad or a multi-phase site, mobilized without renting delays.
Schedule Certainty
Concrete sits on every project's critical path. We coordinate pours, cure times, and inspections so your framers, plumbers, and pavers start on the day they planned.
One Contract, Ground Up
Site prep and concrete under one contract means one accountability chain — no finger-pointing between the excavation sub and the concrete sub. It's all us.

Commercial Concrete FAQs
What size commercial projects do you take on?
From a single heavy-duty pad to multi-phase, multi-building sites. With a portfolio of 50,000+ living units behind us, we scale crews and equipment to the scope — there's no project too large, and we don't turn our nose up at the small ones either.
Do you work as a subcontractor for general contractors?
Yes — a large share of our commercial work is subcontracted concrete and site prep scopes for GCs and developers. We integrate with your schedule, your site meetings, and your safety program, and we hold our dates so your critical path holds too.
Are you licensed, insured, and bonded for commercial work?
Fully — licensed, insured, and bonded, with an A+ BBB rating. Certificates of insurance and WCB clearance are provided with every bid package, and our crews follow site-specific safety programs on every project.
How quickly can you mobilize?
Because we own our heavy equipment, mobilization doesn't wait on rental availability. For most Calgary-area projects we can assess the site within days and slot your scope into the schedule immediately after award — call us with your timeline and we'll give you a straight answer.
Can you pour concrete in winter?
Yes — winter pours are routine in Alberta with the right protocol: heated enclosures (hoarding), ground thawing, heated water and admixtures, and insulated curing blankets. It costs more than a summer pour, but it keeps your project schedule alive through the cold months.
Do you handle both site prep and concrete under one contract?
That's exactly our model. Excavation, base course, soil stabilization, and demolition are done by the same company that forms and pours your foundations and pads — one contract, one accountability chain, no gaps between trades.
