During recent times, the coating of concrete floors has changed from essentially nothing to a reasonably sophisticated process with various materials for coating or surfacing. The main purpose, of course, is to protect the slab from deterioration or contamination, or to provide some aesthetics but non-skid, chemical resistance, ease of maintenance, physical performance, and a myriad of reasons is why we recommend it.
Floors are subjected to just about every sort of abuse – impact, abrasion, chemical attack, and thermal shock. Concrete floors are not designed to take this continual abuse. Concrete floors are porous and tend to create dust and cracks from abuse. They also are issue to abrasion and chemical attack. It’s for this reason that every one concrete needs a few form of coating no matter where it’s located.
